AGBC MISSIONS
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”
Matthew 28:19-20
Asia Grace Baptist Church are committed to missions and evangelism. The two terms are interrelated but distinct. Evangelism involves sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with people in word and deed. While it is true that every Christian is “on mission,” missions involves sending people to share the gospel with people with whom they normally would have no contact. Being sent by Jesus on mission is part of what it means to follow him (John 20:21).

A Light in San Narciso: The Story of Asian Grace Baptist Mission
In a quiet corner of San Pascual, San Narciso, Zambales, in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic, where tricycles pass and neighbors greet one another by name, we, together with the assistance of Grace of God Bible Baptist Church and through the prayer, AGBC-Singapore, gathered with a big burden in our hearts. We did not begin with a grand building or a large crowd. We began with prayer.
Asian Grace Baptist Mission was born out of a simple but steadfast desire: that souls might know Christ, and that families might find refuge in Him.
At the center of it was a shepherd’s heart—steady, hopeful, and deeply anchored in Scripture. Leaving Singapore , our comfort zone for 12 years, we headed back home as we humbly seek the Lord’s leading for His great calling.
The Mission started with borrowed chairs, outdated sound equipment, and hymnbooks that had seen better days. Yet when we sang, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” it felt as though heaven leaned a little closer.
We have taught children to memorize verses. Gathered elderlies for Bible studies. Encouraged weary pastors through conferences. Reminded hurting women that true rest is found at the feet of Jesus. We spoke hope to those facing sickness, loss, and uncertainty.
And slowly, the Lord added.
Not just numbers—but stories.
A tricycle driver who once lingered outside now sits faithfully in the second row. A mother who came burdened now smiles as her children recite Psalm 23. Young people who once wandered now serve—ushering, singing, teaching. A Garbage collector who had no confidence to meet people now makes sure he is earliest to usher others inside the church.
Asian Grace Baptist Mission became more than a place. It became a refuge.
In times of chaos, it pointed souls to the Rock that is higher than we are (Psalm 61:2).
In times of uncertainty, it declared, “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7).
In times of weariness, it whispered, “Come unto me… and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
It was never about spotlight or scale. It was about faithfulness.
On Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings, prayers still rise from that little sanctuary in San Narciso. Where men bow together in prayer. Wives encourage one another. Children laugh in the background. And somewhere in the midst of it all, grace flows freely.
Because that is what the Mission was always meant to be — a testimony that God builds His church through humble obedience, steadfast hope, and hearts fully yielded to Him.
And though the walls may be simple, the vision is eternal.
Asian Grace Baptist Mission stands as a quiet declaration:
Grace brought us here.
Grace sustains us still.
And by grace, we will continue on abounding more than ever in the work of the Lord!

MERCADO FAMILY
I received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour in Singapore in 1998, through the witness of my eldest sister. Raised in the faith, I have walked with the Lord from childhood and began serving actively at age 18. For 16 years, my life has been devoted to knowing God and making Him known. I order my life and family according to Scripture, seeing my home as my first ministry. My wife serves alongside me in soul winning, music, and choir leadership. Together, we seek to raise our children in the ways of the Lord. “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” — 1 Timothy 5:8 (KJV) “A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach.” — 1 Timothy 3:2 (KJV) Since 2022, I have served under Senior Pastor Napoleon Aninion Cajipe, growing in character and ministry through varied experiences. My calling to serve as a missionary in Fiji flows from obedience to the Great Commission: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” — Matthew 28:19–20 (KJV) “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” — 2 Corinthians 5:14–15 (KJV) God has prepared me through my spiritual walk and professional background. I go not only as a preacher but as a servant ready to use all I am to be a blessing. My family and I stand ready to serve wholeheartedly, that lives may be transformed, churches established, and believers strengthened—all for God’s glory.

A Brief History of the Ministry
After being unable to return to our ministry in a restricted access nation due to the pandemic, the Lord opened a door for us to serve. Our sending church, AGBC, officially sent us in March 2023. By God’s grace, we were able to minister to the people and assist a local Baptist Church in some capacity. We formally launched AGBC Nepal on January 19, 2024.
We celebrated our 2nd church mission anniversary in January 2026 and continue to pray for the Lord’s work in this predominantly Hindu and Buddhist nation, trusting Him to expand His kingdom in Nepal.
