Title: What Road Are You On?

“What Road Are You On?”

Verse: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

A thousand years from now, who you were, what you owned, and where you lived won’t matter one iota.  What will matter is whether or not you trusted Christ as Saviour.

People will always go about dealing with their sin problem in one of two ways.  One way is victorious every time.  The other way is never successful – never.  One way is wide and broad but leads to destruction.  The other path is narrow and leads to life everlasting.  The vast majority of people think that they can lift their church attendance, charity work, church work, or great personality up to God.  But like Cain’s sacrifice, yours too will be rejected.

Until his salvation, Paul had spent his entire adult life trying to earn God’s favor by keeping the Law.  But Romans 3:21-24 clearly tells us salvation is a gift of grace from God. We cannot earn it.

Why have you waited so long?  Do you wonder whether God can be trusted and His way followed?  Listen to Paul’s testimony about that, “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
