Title: Walking and Praising God

by | Wednesday, June 24th, 2026 | Devotional Lessons

Today’s devotion highlights the impactful way to share the world with our personal testimonies. When others see us, do they recognize that Christ liveth in you?

Our story recounts Peter and John, who, as was their ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ…ผ, went ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ. They noticed a man who had been lame from birth and needed to be carried daily to the temple’s Beautiful gate to beg for money. Peter and John, focusing on him, addressed his needs. Miraculously, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the man was healed.

After he was healed, his feet and ankle bones immediately gained strength, and he started walking, leaping, and praising God. The lame man symbolizes our former state as sinners. As sinners, we lack the strength to do good or to reach God, much like the man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5, whom the Lord Jesus Christ Himself approached.

After gaining strength in his bones, he started He doesnโ€™t require a doctor to confirm his healing; he simply needs to pick up his bed, walk, and keep praising God. When people saw him, they recognized him as the man who used to sit for alms. This event amazed everyone and led witnesses to marvel at God’s incredible work.

Two lessons emerge from this devotion. First, Peter and Johnโ€™s testimony shows their unwavering commitment to ministry. They regularly gather for prayer at the House of God, embodying the spirit of soul winners. When they saw his need, they quickly offered help and shared the Name of Jesus of Nazareth, which led to his healing. Maybe friends or family members also need to hear the amazing work of the Gospel through you. Donโ€™t stay silent or inactiveโ€”preach the Word!

The testimony of the lame man shows that after he was healed, he immediately stood up and started walking normally again. Similarly, after salvation, there’s no need to complete theological studies or earn advanced degrees to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. All that’s required is to demonstrate that you are saved and that your life has been transformed into a new creationโ€”everything old has passed away, and all things are new. ๐Ÿ†ˆ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ††๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ…ต๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ป ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ†ˆ ๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ฝ’๐Ÿ†ƒ ๐Ÿ††๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ƒ ๐Ÿ†ˆ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„ ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ผ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ ๐Ÿ…ฑ๐Ÿ…ด, ๐Ÿ…ฑ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†ƒ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ††๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ ๐Ÿ†ˆ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„ ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ†…๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†ˆ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ต๐Ÿ…ด.

When others see us, do they recognize the same person, or do they wonder and say, “Is this Bro Nap?” I didnโ€™t recognize you; your life has changed, and people are beginning to be amazed by Godโ€™s transformation in your life. Brethren, let our life testimony be a blessing to someone today!

Like Peter and James, we are reminded of their habit of always being in the House of God to pray. I pray that we also share the same desire to gather in the House of Worship today. See you in church!
