Title: Neither know we what to do

2 Chronicles 20:12 KJV

O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

When I first learned to drive, my father, who was also my instructor, constantly reminded me to stay focused and watch the road. He emphasized that keeping my eyes on the road helps me know what actions to take. Similarly, when things don’t go as planned, we often lose focus and get discouraged, overlooking the fact that we have a God who never abandons us.

Jehoshaphat faces a formidable alliance of Moabites, Ammonites, and others. In his desperation, he calls out to God: “O God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us.” Many of us find ourselves in similar situations, feeling helpless and unsure of the next step. We are often powerless against overwhelming challenges, much like the “Moabites.”

We can follow Jehoshaphat’s example: “Our eyes are upon thee.” Even if we are unsure of what to do, God always knows His plan. He is never surprised or unprepared. Entrust your situation to Him. You can rest peacefully at night, despite the Moabites approaching tomorrow. Many believers have found reassurance in God’s promises when hope seemed gone. When the feared day came, God handled the Moabites in His own way.

“Our eyes are upon thee.” “Looking unto Jesus.” We often feel uncertain about our actions; however, He holds the knowledge we need. No treatment can offer the same peace as the confidence in that knowledge! Trust God to handle the challenges from the Moabites that may come your way.
