Today’s devotion highlights how Jesus Christ’s life was under threat. He did not act heroically or try to confront the religious leaders directly; instead, He avoided their harm and continued His mission on earth.

The pandemic has posed significant challenges to the global economy in recent years. Currently, the COVID-19 crisis continues to impact various sectors, leading to the closure of educational institutions and suspension of religious services, including church gatherings. Many businesses are shutting down, and international flights are being cancelled. Orders have slowed across many regions, trapping people within their countries and homes. While some seek refuge at home, many fall ill or tragically die from the virus. Governments worldwide are actively working to implement measures to address this crisis. Overall, this pandemic has affected the entire world.

However, because of that situation, many people, especially in the US and the Philippines, decided not to follow government guidelines. As a result, many pastors and missionaries caught the virus; some survived, while others died. This serves as an important reminder for us, brethren, especially in light of the actions of the Lord Jesus Christ in today’s text. The Lord was not careless and did not seek danger without reason. He took refuge in Ephraim, approximately fifteen miles north of Jerusalem.

Nevertheless, the Lord persists in His work and ministry on Earth. Despite the persecution and threats He encountered, 🅷🅴 🅴🅼🅿️🅷🅰️🆂🅸🆉🅴🅳 🆃🅷🅴 🅸🅼🅿️🅾️🆁🆃🅰️🅽🅲🅴 🅾️🅵 🅴🆇🅴🆁🅲🅸🆂🅸🅽🅶 🆆🅸🆂🅳🅾️🅼 🅸🅽 🅰️🅻🅻 🅼🅰️🆃🆃🅴🆁🆂 🅲🅾️🅽🅲🅴🆁🅽🅸🅽🅶 🆃🅷🅴 🅼🅸🅽🅸🆂🆃🆁🆈. When Christians face situations that threaten them, they should certainly pray for protection and follow the guidelines and instructions given by the government.

The early church in the New Testament serves as an example for the kind of prayer we should adopt and emphasize. 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝟏:𝟏𝟒 notes, “𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒏.” God is the ultimate source of solutions to all problems. While it is important to follow government authorities and respect their guidelines, we must also turn to God in prayer. Today, we should take our relationship with God seriously and diligently obey the command to 🅶🅾️ 🅰️🅽🅳 🅿️🆁🅴🅰️🅲🅷 🆃🅷🅴 🅶🅾️🆂🅿️🅴🅻 to all creation!
